Blossoming Osmosis

Blossoming Osmosis

I made a visit to the Desert Botanical Garden over the weekend (which inspired this post). I saw a sign explaining ‘photosynthesis’. We are all aware that plants and trees feed themselves via the process of photosynthesis. Perhaps it is easy to forget how awe inspiring this is. Think about how much time we as humans spend trying to feed ourselves…from going to work to make the money to buy the food to…grocery shopping, cooking, actual eating, clean up, storing, and excreting what we don’t use. And that doesn’t even include the growing, harvesting, storage, preservation, distribution side of things.

All while the plants and trees stand exactly where they have chosen to grow….soaking up the sun…making what they need with no waste, no ‘taking’, no ‘needing’, and no harm to even the smallest creature. They know how to work in perfect unity of their surroundings and how to adapt. The plants and trees remember the innate knowledge and wisdom of how to work with and shift (if needed) a situation in graceful peace and harmony. The plants never need a bulldozer technique in any sense of metaphor.

When we are with, around, wearing the plants and trees...we are imbued with this frequency…the frequency of love, working in harmony, peacefulness, respect for all, and a sense of oneness. We have the opportunity to sit with and absorb the wisdom of enlightened beings every moment of every day. Looking for your greatest teacher? In my opinion look no further than the ‘weed’ growing by your doorstep.

Let’s take this back to the human realm momentarily…the people we associate with influence us. The energy of the people we associate with influences us. The energy of anything we associate ourselves with, influences us.

When we consciously associate ourselves with the plants and trees (in nature, via herbs, through pure essential oils, etc.) the Be-ing-ness and the ways of the plants and tress begin to seep into us.

I remember as a kid loving the concept of receiving something via osmosis. And yes, I did sleep with books under my pillow hoping to receive the transfer of information. This was perhaps making my first conscious journey into ideas of energetic/frequency transfer.

While sleeping on my spelling book didn’t improve my test results, consciously communing with and wearing the plants and trees has absolutely supported me in expanding my consciousness, my well-being, and the way in which I navigate in the world.

Here’s the thing, no one and no thing is going to do your work for you. However, we can ask for support along the way. And when we ask, support does arrive…even if it doesn’t look the way we imagined. Be open, creative, and adaptable with what you receive…following in the amazing and enduring example of the plants and trees.

And remember, whatever/whomever it is that we chose to surround ourselves with, will influence who are are and will become.

Wishing you each infinite blessings and may you BE exactly as you desire to BE.

I will keep my rant about putting so much emphasis on days other humans have told us ‘we should celebrate’ to a bare minimum and instead turn it to positive inquiry: EVERY day is important. Every day we should seek to embody more love, awareness, kindness, and gratitude. We are programmed...

When I was 25, I cut my hair off with a pair of artist’s scissors, pierced my eyebrow, and painted ‘? Reality’ with white paint across my favorite t-shirt. I had recently graduated from art & design school and for some reason that explosion ‘of needing to express myself in a new way’ came afterwards instead of during.
