Heart Speak

Heart Speak

March 27, 2018

Do you allow yourself to feel deeply? Are you speaking your truth? Are you honoring both the light and the dark within yourself? Are you in love with your very soul?

What is all of this anyway? Just another smattering of words about love and heart and soul and…..?

Every word holds vibration and meaning. That vibration and meaning can be different for every single individual. It is hard to convey love, feelings, infinite, soul… in verbal language.

I can sit here all day and talk to you about heart space, living from the heart, feeling love, being love…. but they are just words, words, and more words. You may or may not receive them.

What if we used other tools instead of language? A more direct way? The plants and trees can take us straight there. They are pure love workers. So intelligent, so conscious, so willing to teach us LOVE. And so potent when used as pure, undiluted essential essence (essential oil). The more intention you put into asking the plants to help, the more powerful they become within your being.

To feel is access to heart space. Heart space asks you to take down your walls and become vulnerable to be with what is in front of you, right here right now.

This morning I realized that I was angry. A deep anger about something that has been building for a long time. I have buried it. Didn’t want to acknowledge it. Didn’t want to feel it. And straight up had judgment around feeling angry.

What happens to buried anger (and any denied emotion)? It causes toxicity in our very being and if left unaddressed, eventually manifests in physical illness.

I love David Whyte’s description of ‘buried feelings’ in his work “Poetry of Self Compassion”. To summarize him, ‘we are born with this little black bag on our belt. Anything we do not want to deal with or look at, we just put into the black bag. By the time we are 40 years old, we can barely walk because our black bag is huge and dragging behind us… it gets stuck in elevator doors…’

In any journey where we have been repressing our true feelings… at some point we have to look into that black bag, When we start looking, it might feel that we have dumped it all over the living room floor.

But you are capable of cleaning it up.

Can you allow yourself to FEEL (really feel into that very thing)… to go deeper and deeper within it, in love and not fear? To get to a place where you can lovingly thank it and ask/allow it to move and shift?

Can you allow yourself to FEEL any emotion, honor it, and yet still be with love and IN love for yourself and then out to others?

I am wearing cypress, mugwort, and osmanthus this morning as I look into my own black bag. Cypress and mugwort are big movers of anything stuck or no longer serving. The very scent of osmanthus is pure beauty and a direct avenue to the heart. So grateful I am to have the support of the plants and trees to do my work. Aho my dear friends!

May they also inspire and support you in doing yours…

When a smell is unpleasant to the nose (again, if and only if the essential essence (oil) is pure), it shows us that we are out of balance with the harmony of the plant/tree who is in perfect harmony with Gaia.

August 10, 2020

When you know how to work with skin sensitive essential essences, their healing ability is immense! Use either on the soles of your feet with socks or in the layering technique. If something starts burning on your skin or hands, use a nut or seed oil to dilute. Do not use water to wash it off. Water will make it burn more.

The germ is not the villain
The germ is not the villain

Yes, you read that correctly, 'The Germ Theory'. Most of us have been inundated our entire life that it is ‘fact’ that the germ is malicious, out to get us, and is the cause of sickness. It has been so much a part of our culture that perhaps we didn’t even realize we needed to question 'the germ theory'. This ‘theory’ also happens to be one of the foundations for the Western medical system.
